As I have been converting adventures and NPCs over from D&D to Rolemaster i had discovered that not only does one have to comvert people and monsters but also D&D is laced with ‘named’ magical items such as a ‘bag of holding’ and so on. These then have a specific effect like ‘bracers of defence AC4’.

Rolemaster by contrast generally describes things in the format of spell effects or as bonuses. Having one armour type protect as another is a common enough feature but as a rule of thumb spell effects and bonuses to rolls is the Rolemaster way.

To that end I am going to create Rolemaster flavoured alternatives to D&D magic items on an ad hoc basis.
